The Home Brew Recipe Calculating Program - System Stuff Maintenance Screen

Fields

• Name - This field holds your brewery name. It will be displayed as a header on any reports printed from HBRCP.

• Logo BMP - This field holds the name of the bitmap file to be used as wallpaper on the main window of HBRCP. Click the button to display the Select A Bitmap Screen.

• Small Logo - This field holds the name of the bitmap file to be used on pop up windows and alerts in HBRCP. Click the button to display the Select A Bitmap Screen.

• Def. Hop Form - This field holds default form of hop to be used by HBRCP. Click the button to change between the available forms (Pellet, Whole, or Plug).

• Sound Wave - This field holds the name of the sound wave file to be used by HBRCP. Click the button to display the Select A Wave File Screen.

• Recipe Order - This field holds the recipe order. This will be the order the recipes are printed and displayed on the Recipe Screen. Click the button to change between the available orders (Name, Style, or Brew Date).

• Primer - This field holds the default priming sugar used by HBRCP. Click the button to display the priming sugar Search Screen.

• Default Vol - This field holds the default recipe volume used by HBRCP when creating a new recipe.

• Default Eff - This field holds the default mash efficency used by HBRCP when creating a new recipe.

• Last Record - This field holds the last record viewed.

• Boil Volume - This field holds the default boil volume to be used by HBRCP when creating a new recipe. This will be used to calculate the SG of the recipe during the boil and is used in I.B.U. calculations. If you always do full volume boils, set this field to 0. Typically this field is only required if brewing with extracts and boiling only part of the total volume.

• Volume Units - This field holds the default volume units to be used by HBRCP when creating a new recipe. Click on the button to change between available volume units. Changing this field will cause the Default Volume and Boil Volume to be converted to the new units.

• Grain Units - This field holds the default grain/malt units to be used by HBRCP when creating a new recipe. Click on the button to change between available weight units.

• Hop Units - This field holds the default hop units to be used by HBRCP when creating a new recipe. Click on the button to change between available weight units.

• Temp Units - This field holds the default temperature units to be used by HBRCP when creating a new recipe. Click on the button to change between available temperature units.

• Grist Ratio - This field holds the default grist ratio to be used by HBRCP in the Mash Temp Calculator. This should be expressed as a ratio of the default volume units to the default grain units (i.e. if the default volume units is Gallons and the default grain units are Lbs and you want a grist ratio of 1 quart per lb, enter this number as .25).

• Malt Capacity - This field holds the default malt heat capacity to be used by HBRCP in the Mash Temp Calculator. Typically this number is about .4 and varies depending on the moisture content of the malt. The following table shows the malt heat capacity (MHC) as a function of the malts moisture content.

  Buttons

  The screen is in View mode when entered with the following buttons displayed.

  • Change - Click this button to change the brewer information displayed.

  • Exit - Click this button to exit the screen.
  When the screen is in Change mode, a different set of buttons will be displayed across the bottom of the screen.

  • Save - Click this button to save the information displayed.

  • Cancel - Click this button to discard any changes made and return to View mode.
